9 3 out of Canada, through Washington toward Oregon

Took the bike and rack off the car and then ran it through a car wash.  The car came out as if it had never gone through.  Don't know whether these are goats or sheep, but there sure was a whole herd of them jumping over the road pilings.  This was still in Canada.Mt. Hood and Mt. Rainier in Washington.

9 3 Canoing Lake Louise, Canada

Banff is a fairly large townThis is incredibly blue water that I can't catch in photos.  The color is due to glacial deposits and their reflections. This whole trip has brought back Mom, Dad and Jan but this part really brought back Mom because I brought her here in the early 70's and we canoed Lake Louise.  Mom was able to tell people about every single day after the trip, including what we ate. 

Mom was 54 when I brought her here.

Last people in the parking lot because we go out at dusk hunting for animals. We spend all day doing stuff.  Morning to night.  No time left to work on the blog.

9 1 icefields tour and scenery between Jasper and Banff (8232 miles)

Sandra was delighted with the trip but they didn't let us walk out on to the glacier and that's really the experience I wanted Sandra to have because I had walked on a glacier in Alaska on a helicopter tour and walking on the glacier was scary and so memorable.  In Alaska you could see down through crevices and it was slippery and exciting.  On this tour they only let us walk on the compacted area that they coned off.  Sandra was happy because she was walking on a glacier, but she didn't get experience walking on "real" glacial build up.   They sent out one last tour for us and one other family.
